On Saturday, March 27th, 2010 all participants will need to check-in at the morning "Kick-Off" event and meet with their Site Leader to go over the plan for the day. Below is a brief timeline from last year's Day of Service:

On Saturday, March 27th all participants will need to check-in at the morning "Pump-Up" event and meet with their Site Leader to go over the plan for the day. Below is a brief timeline for the day's events:

11:00AM: Doors to the UC's Weigand Gymnasium will open for Check-in.

11:30AM: A short program highlighting Carnegie Mellon accomplishments in service.

12:00PM-5:00PM Various service events will take place at different times within this timeblock. Most service events will range between two and four hours in length.

Important Notes:

• If your service site requires transportation you will be provided with bus transport or your Site Leader will guide you to your site using public transportation.

• Remember to wear comfortable and fuctional clothing. Wear close-toed shoes and layers. Layering your clothing will allow you to adapt to the temperature and the demands of your service site.

• Each group will have a Site Leader who is trained and prepared to guide their group through the entire day of service. If you're interested in becoming a site leader let us know.
