1000plus is a Carnegie Mellon Day of Service. Our goal is to connect members of the Carnegie Mellon Community (students, staff, faculty, alumni and their families and friends) in service to the Pittsburgh community. The 2010 Day of Service will be on March 27th. Please visit our Opportunities page to see the available opportunities! Check back here for updates!
WE DID IT. Well, you did it. Over 1000 Carnegie Mellon volunteers participated in service here in Pittsburgh area. Our final number is going to be calculated in the next few days. We're waiting for a few more numbers from CMU groups that did service separate of 1000plus, but we know we are over 1000. In 2009 we had 546 volunteers participate in the 1000plus Day of Service. Being able to surpass 1000 is a huge step forward for 1000plus. Thank you to everyone who participated. If you are interested in helping 1000plus become bigger and better next year, please contact onethousandplus@gmail.com

Don't forget that there is an AWESOME Kickoff Event in Rangos before everyone leaves for their service opportunity sites. Everyone (except a few early morning groups) are expected to check in between 11am and 12pm outside of Rangos and attend the Kickoff Event before rolling out to their sites.
Plus there's some cool give-away options like the snazzy 1000plus T-Shirts and Sweatshirts.
